Lee Smith joined the company in 1991, beginning his career in surveying before advancing through roles in engineering, safety, production, and operations. Since 2017, he has served as operations manager, supporting safety, production, and maintenance teams while working closely with customers.
With more than 34 years of experience, Lee brings extensive expertise in surface coal mining, underwater limestone mining, safety training, and operational leadership. He attended Tyler Junior College and Kilgore Junior College and holds multiple MSHA certifications, including mine foreman and Part 48 instructor.
